Aistrigh is an experimental movement-based workshop to engage with the streets, lanes and buildings of Boyle through improvisational dance. Facilitated by architect Eleanor Duignan and dance artist Sibéal Davitt, the participants will be guided in a range of movement practices to collectively explore their connection to the site and imaginatively respond to the changing environment.

No dance experience necessary. Suitable for adults (16+).

This workshop is aided by funding received from the Irish Arts Council Engaging with Architecture Award 2022.

Eleanor Duignan

About Eleanor Duignan is an Irish architect based in Berlin, Germany whose work focuses on participation in design. She is interested in the intersection of dance and architecture and is currently researching dance as a method of participation in the design of buildings and public spaces. Eleanor is currently in receipt of the Arts Council Engaging with Architecture Award 2022.
