UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy is delighted to present Alice Clarke and Andrew Ó Murchú of BothAnd Group, one of Ireland's most exciting emerging architecture collectives. In the lecture titled 'With Every Living Thing', Alice Clarke and Andrew Ó Murchú will share the work of the practice as they seek to understand 'the behaviour of living systems, and the design of environments that accommodate a more equal status between all forms of life'. BothAnd Group was formed in 2019 by four architecture graduates: Jarek Adamczuk, Alice Clarke, Andrew Ó Murchú ,and Kate Rushe to critique contemporary methods of architectural production and to develop a framework for future critical practice. They aim to re-conceptualise spatial design practice beyond the interests of the built object, and to embed the logic of bio-spherical systems into their work.
