The Office of Public Works (OPW), in partnership with the National Library of Ireland (NLI), presents Conversation Club.
This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Lecture Series brings together leading architectural practices from Ireland and abroad for an engaging programme of public conversations.
Across the series, speakers will explore contemporary architectural practice, design thinking, and the ideas behind award-winning projects, offering insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping the built environment today.
We are delighted to open the series with John Parker of ABK Architects on Tuesday, 3 March at 6pm.
John Parker is a director of ABK Architects. Following studies at NCAD and UCD, John worked for Jeremy Dixon, Edward Jones Architects and DeBlacam and Meagher before joining ABK in 1998.
As well acting as visiting critic and examiner to various Schools of Architecture including S.A.U.L. T.U.D, CCAE and University A Coruña, John has been involved in architectural education as lecturer and assistant professor at the School of Architecture at University College Dublin (APEP). John’s work at ABK has received a number of awards over the years.
