The NLI and OPW are partnering on a Culture Club series of four lectures featuring leading architectural practices from Ireland and abroad.
The NLI is partnering with the OPW to present a Culture Club series of four lectures by architectural practices working nationally and internationally, including established and emerging talent.

The second in the series is by Marmar Architects, based in Castlebar and founded by Aidan Conway in 2021. The work engages with the history of the built environment and specifically how it positions itself within the landscape of the west of Ireland. They are currently engaged in a number of Residential projects, extensions and new builds along with a line of research work and teaching.

The final lecture in the series is by Hall McKnight Architects, based in Belfast and founded by Alastair Hall and Ian McKnight in 2008. The work of the practice encompasses a wide range of typologies, including the design of public spaces. With ongoing projects across the UK and Ireland, most of Hall McKnight's work engages with challenging natural and built heritage environments and draws upon the physical, cultural and legislative context to develop projects that are particular to their place and time.

Spaces for this first event of the series are being offered to OPW/NLI stakeholders in advance of general release to the public.
