The RIAI is delighted to launch a new programme of tools, guidance and training to address the much-needed decarbonisation of our built environment, in partnership with the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC). ‘Design for Performance’, funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), aims to transition Ireland's built environment towards zero-emission buildings by adopting a "Design for Performance" approach.

This is a tremendous opportunity for Architects and all construction sector professionals to deliver healthier and more efficient homes and businesses and reduce carbon emissions across Ireland’s built environment.

The framework, toolset and guidance will be available soon, and a lecture and workshop series will be delivered live and online by cross-disciplinary industry experts over three mornings on 23, 30 May and 6 June. The course focuses on designing for performance to achieve EU and national environmental targets, including whole life carbon, energy performance, water use and indoor environmental quality.

The programme resources and associated free training will be delivered to Architects including all built environment stakeholders.

Participants who complete the training course will receive a certificate of completion and 10.5 Structured CPD Points.
