A guided walk through Dublin’s long, rich theatre history. We will visit Dublin Castle and the sites of the Werburgh, Fishamble and Smock Alley theatres, exploring how drama and performance played key roles in the intense, often fatal politics of their era. We will also discuss some of the playwrights, actors and impresarios who graced the scene from the 1600s onward.
