The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) are proud to present the EUmies Award Exhibition in the Printworks, Dublin Castle from 16 January to 14 February 2024. A touring exhibition, it presents models, texts, videos, sketches and drawings of the 40 shortlisted works – among them the first-ever Irish winner and the 13 Irish nominees for the 2024 award.
The exhibition features great examples of the best of European architecture, including innovative solutions in housing, workplaces, and urban regeneration. It shows that cities and countries across Europe are experiencing similar challenges, and some great solutions exists for these.
The EUmies Award is the Europen Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture and the highest honour for a building in Europe.
In 2022 the EUmies Award was awarded for the first time to an Irish practice, Grafton Architects, for Town House at Kingston University in London.

Exhibition opening times from 16 January to 14 February (inclusive) are:
• Tuesdays – Fridays from 11am to 5pm
• Saturdays 12 to 5pm
• Closed on Sunday and Monday
About the EUmies Award
The EUmies award is the European Union prize for architecture and the ultimate honour for a building in Europe. The EUmies Awards are granted to single architectural works demonstrating excellence in conceptual, social, cultural and technical terms. They raise awareness of quality architecture and its contribution to the well-being of citizens and the sustainable development of European cities, towns and villages.
The RIAI is presenting the exhibition in Ireland to engage public and professional audiences with Irish and European architecture, the New European Bauhaus and the positive impact architecture can have on the challenges we are facing – from climate change to affordable housing and liveable cities.
The exhibition is supported in Ireland by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the National Policy on Architecture/Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH), the European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland and the OPW.
