Dublin Decoded

About Dublin Decoded runs history and architecture walking tours of Dublin, led by Arran Henderson. Arran is an independent architectural historian, and local historian who has appeared on radio and TV, consulted for several films, and has written many pieces for various papers and journals over the last 25 years. The walking tours touch on many diverse aspects of history and local history, but typically have a strong emphasis on the buildings, including notes on design, on materials, and architects, on the evolving street-plan, and the historic reasons behind such evolution. The walks have been used by many architects, planners and other professions, for unstructured CPD points. Places of learning such as Syracuse University and Liverpool School of Architecture, among others, have arranged field trips around Dublin Decoded walks. Dublin Decoded run both public and private tours. The public tours are noted for their mixture of good fun and accessibility, blended with erudition and insight. Private tours have the same mix and may also additionally be customized when necessary.
