Hands

Clifden Arts Festival is honoured to highlight the legacy of the renowned, creative documentary/filmmaker, David Shaw-Smith. David’s partner and collaborator, Sally Shaw- Smith, will discuss their work in documenting and recording so many aspects of Irish cultural life, and design in particular. We will show an early film from the ‘Hands’ series, celebrating the local culture of the Connemara Pony. Dr. Fidelma Mullane will join Sally to discuss the pioneering creative documentary work of David Shaw-Smith.
