Inaugural Lecture of Professor Christine Casey

Professor Christine Casey will deliver her Inaugural Lecture entitled ‘The wisdom of hands: craft practice in architecture’ on Tuesday 26th November 2024 at 6:15pm in the Robert Emmet Lecture Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin.

This lecture will analyse the role of materials and making in architecture and the challenges involved in understanding the undocumented craft practices of the past. In so doing it will explore collective achievement in architecture and the relationship of architect and craft practitioner in building production.
