As a prelude to two garden exhibitions the Irish Georgian Society is launching in September 2021, we are providing a second opportunity to watch Robert O'Byrne's interview with Maria Levinge.

This interview is part of a series being produced for IGS Inc and is proudly sponsored by Hindman, a leading fine art auction house with showrooms across the USA. It begins with an introductory talk covering the history of the Irish Country House Garden from the late 17th century through to the beginning of the 20th century. It is followed by four interviews with prominent Irish women painters in their studios talking about Irish Walled Gardens.

All talks are pre-recorded and will be available to view for 7 days after the dates they are sent out. Booking ends 24 hours before and access details will be sent by email at 3pm on 4 June.

Irish Georgian Society

About The Irish Georgian Society is a charity established to conserve, protect, and foster a keen interest and a respect for Ireland’s architectural heritage and decorative arts. These aims are achieved through its scholarly and conservation education programmes, through its support of conservation projects and planning issues, and vitally, through its members and their activities.
