Open House Dublin (12th-20th October 2024) is a free festival of architecture with over 100 guided visits, talks, tours, lectures, workshops, and more taking place across the city each October.

Throughout the week we will be running a series of exciting talks, screenings, and events, all of which will explore Open House Europe’s 2024 theme of Accessibility and Inclusion. Keep your eyes peeled for the full announcement of our programme in September.

Open House Dublin is part of the Open House Worldwide international network of more than 50 cities hosting festivals and conversations about architecture, design and cities across the globe from Lagos to Taipei, and New York to Santiago. We are uniquely positioned to take the lead on public engagement, discourse and debate in architecture and city-making in Dublin.

Each year more than two hundred people volunteer their time and skills to help us bring Open House Dublin to thousands of people across the city and county. Many volunteers have been with us since the beginning and have an abundance of knowledge and expertise about the city, its architecture and the stories and histories that make Dublin unique and every year we welcome new volunteers to our Open House family. We are now accepting applications for Volunteer roles for Open House Dublin 2024. Volunteering with Open House offers new experiences and skills, as well as providing a great opportunity to learn more about architecture and the built environment and to share your knowledge and interests with others.

Irish Architecture Foundation

About With a focus on public audiences and established in 2005, the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) is Ireland’s independent organisation that fosters and advances the culture and communication of architecture. Based in Dublin, but with a national remit and an international network, our purpose is to empower people to build a better world. A not-for-profit charity, the IAF is principally funded by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon. It is additionally funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, under the auspices of the National Built Heritage Services; the Office of Public Works; and Dublin City Council. Across an increasingly broad range of events, programmes, and exhibitions, the IAF partners with individuals, organisations, government agencies, education institutions and civil society groups to ensure that our work builds civic pride and action and that outcomes are impactful and transformative.
