Ireland’s largest architecture festival takes place 10-18 October, with more than 200 free events celebrating the collective energy, care and creativity of the city and county.
This year the festival's focus is Dublin Is Living, championing the people and places, communities and cultures, architecture and design that together shape the past, present and future of this great city and county.
The nine-day programme will open up more than 200 buildings, places, neighbourhoods and events across the city and county, offering family-friendly fun through free tours, talks, workshops, exhibitions and public happenings.
This year's programme includes exciting new buildings and restoration projects as well as heritage favourites, private homes, and the following strands:
. Open House Junior weekend, 10-11 October
. Open Table conversations in the local authority areas, 12-15 October, followed by the Dublin Is Living Town Hall
. Open Studios, 13-15 October with 15 architecture practices participating (in partnership with the AAI)
. Accessible offerings including tactile tours, ISL tours, a Sensory Space and more
. IAF House, a historic, temporary space at 114–116 Capel Street, which will serve as the Open House Info Hub and host exhibitions, films, workshops, conversations and more, as well as providing a meeting point for festival visitors and volunteers.
All events are free but some must be booked in advance.
