The metropolis is a chaotic entity. Webs of public spaces, connected through ridged systems. Streetlights, security cameras, motion sensors, advertising screens. Systems embedded in our landscape that are constantly observing us, attempting to communicate, interact and influence.
Two interlocked digital experiences, for audiences in Dublin and Melbourne, Scopaesthesia is the creeping feeling of something’s eyes staring in the back of your head. Something unknown watching. Perceiving us with uncertain goals and unintelligible intentions.
Occurring simultaneously in cities across the world, this cross-disciplinary work inhabits and contemplates our public space through the eyes of the invisible systems around us.
Co-presented by Dublin Fringe Festival and Melbourne Fringe Festival. Supported by The Digital Hub, Official Digital Partner of Dublin Fringe Festival.
