Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher Workshop

The A-IARG 2024 Conference ‘Imagining Pasts, Remembering Futures’ hosted by Trinity College Dublin will include a workshop where early career researchers and postgraduate students are invited to present a three-minute ‘seedling’ project or paper from their ongoing research with the opportunity, much like the studio crit, for constructive criticism and peer feedback.

The structure of this workshop is a peer-to-peer environment to present work(s)-in progress, and in doing so to leverage architectural pedagogical tools to broaden the approaches to architectural histories. We aim to foster the development of collaborative and reflective research practices, emphasising the interconnected relationship between history, architecture, and design.

Note that the session will require pre-registration and numbers will be limited. Please email both abuckly@tcd.ie and mbrien@tcd.ie by 5pm on Friday 8 March 2024.

To present their work(s)-in-progress or ‘seedling’, participants are invited to produce 1 single A4, to be used in any imaginative way the presenter sees fit.

Location: Trinity College Dublin

Seedlings: Architectural History in Conversation
