Our SPAB Ireland Lecture Series 2023 focuses on sustainability and adaptive reuse of existing vacant buildings. A four-part lecture series, with speakers which include Dr. Rosanne Walker, Damien Barry (Canice Architects), Collette Beattie (Donegal County Council) and Rachel Loughrey focus on Thermal Upgrading of our Traditional Buildings, successful adaptive reuse case studies, and how to apply circular economy principles in the context of sustainability and adaptive reuse.

Lecture 1: Thermal Upgrading of Traditional Buildings by Dr. Rosanne Walker.

Lecture 2: Reuse of vacant historic buildings - Focusing on good new design to complement old buildings by Damien Curry, Canice Architects

Lecture 3: Bringing Back Our Town Centres: conserving our historic buildings and streetscapes by Collette Beattie.

Lecture 4: The Circular Economy in the context of sustainability and adaptive reuse of historic buildings with Rachel Loughrey from Irish Green Buildings Council.
