The project ‘Studio’ by Harry Moore comprises an ongoing exploration into the liminal spaces of artistic creation.

The particular series featured in this exhibition comprises of pinhole photographs which includes artists working in their studios in the Beara peninsula, Co. Cork.

The exposure times are usually around 30 minutes, depending on the available light. Although the artists are present they may, or may not be visible in the final image. However the nature of the work they are engaged in is always discernible. The objective is to explore the ambience or aura of an aspect of their unique studio environment, as well as the nature of their practice.

The use of scanned analogue negative film lends a painterly quality to the space, frequently reflecting the nature of the artist’s chosen media.
