The Casino Marino is a hidden gem in Dublin and is a remarkable building, both in terms of structure and history. It is one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe.

The Custom House is an iconic 18th century masterpiece in the heart of Dublin City. For over 200 years it has stood sentinel over the River Liffey, overlooking the changing of a city. It is known not only for its turbulent history but also its architectural beauty.

The Casino Marino and the Custom House Visitor Centre are delighted to coordinate a talk together on the shared architecture between these two unique buildings.

Learn about William Chambers’ influential designs, and how it inspired the next generation of architects, like James Gandon, to create works of art set in stone.

This talk will take place in Custom House Visitor Centre on 28 September and Casino Marino on 6 October.
