Liberty Hall is celebrating 60 years. Built as the headquarters of the Irish Transport and General Workers Union, now SIPTU, the building was constructed between 1961 and 1965. Standing at 59.4 metres (195 feet), it was for a time Ireland''s tallest building. Liberty Hall has become iconic on Dublin's skyline. On Culture Night, SIPTU will host an event in Liberty Hall Theatre which celebrates the building's significant architectural, historical and cultural heritage.
