Self-guided tours for adults: monuments, windows, the organ, local history, Monkstown Schoolhouse restoration project and fun treasure hunts for children.

Monkstown Parish Church stands proudly in the centre of Monkstown village and has a rich history as well as many interesting architectural features along with stained glass windows and over 50 monuments. Printed sheets will be in the vicinity of many of the monuments and windows with information for visitors to read as they wander through the building. The body of the church and the chancel as well as the three galleries will be available for the visitor to explore.

There will be a couple of treasure hunts to keep children occupied.

The plans for the restoration of Monkstown Schoolhouse will also be on view as well as proposals for its future use. There will be a brief history of the school and other relevant memorabilia will be on display.
The church is a very peaceful, restful and calming building to visit.
