The town of Ballina, Co. Mayo, has made great progress in reimagining itself through the creative collaboration of local government, citizens, architects, and academic researchers. Notable successes include the Ripple community garden project- Ireland's first winner of a New European Bauhaus prize. The session should prove an inspiration to any town considering involvement in research projects.
