Waterford City

Waterford will host EASA Seanchaí across a range of venues that reflect the city’s distinctive cultural and architectural character. The main base for the assembly will be Newtown School, where participants will live and gather throughout the two weeks and where much of the day-to-day festival activity will be centred. Its campus setting and adaptable spaces provide a strong foundation for the assembly.

Additional programme elements will take place at South East Technological University (SETU), while further activities are planned across the city, including at the Waterford Gallery of Art (WGOA). These venues offer a variety of settings for engagement, learning, and exchange.

Across Waterford, participants will work within a network of sites that connect the festival to the city’s historic core, waterfront, and cultural institutions. The city’s scale and accessibility make it an ideal environment for EASA Seanchaí’s explorations of place, storytelling, and the built environment.
